Baba Yaga’s Hut on Chicken Legs —UNPAINTED CASTS—

60.00

A hut on chicken legs?! Turns out that it’s the perfect dwelling for a witch; the ubiquitous Baba Yaga, a prominent and pivotal figure in Russian/Slavic folklore. As a child, I was enthralled and fascinated by the exploits of Baba Yaga and her quirky chicken-legged hut, and as an adult, Baba Yaga’s legends stuck with me and eventually inspired me to try my hand at sculpting my take on the Hut on Chicken Legs. This is my second, improved design, scaled down to art-toy size, cast in tinted polyurethane resin in a variety of colors, and pulled from molds made from my original sculpt. Each hut stands 4”l x 5.5”w x 4.75”t (10.5 x 14 x 12 cm ) and weighs just under 8oz (appx 220gm).

PLEASE NOTE: you will receive an unpainted Hut in a solid color of your choice. The photographs of painted Huts are simply examples to show off the details I sculpted that you can bring out easily using dry brush technique. If you are planning on painting your Hut, you may need to do some minor sanding and patching, as well as clean the surface with soap and water to ensure that the paint adheres properly to the surface. If you would like to order a custom painted version of this art toy, please contact me and we can discuss options and pricing.
